read moreFor over eighty years Waitt Funeral Home has been meeting the needs of people in Brockton and surrounding area towns. In 1988, an addition was incorporated, which doubled its size. We have made continual updates and improvements. Our 2006 addition of Belcher Chapel expanded our facility to accommodate services held here. In 2011 we remodeled a former addition with cathedral ceilings and Art Glass to re-invest in and update our facility, this improvement was renamed Waitt Funeral Chapel. Each of our chapels feature comfortable seating for over 100 people, video and audio capabilities, and accommodations to link both chapels for very large gatherings.
Veterans Overview
read moreThe basic Military Funeral Honors (MFH) ceremony consists of the folding and presentation of the United States flag to the veterans' family and the playing of Taps. The ceremony is performed by a funeral honors detail consisting of at least two members of the Armed Forces. The Funeral Honors rendered to you or your veteran will be determined by the status of the veteran. The type of Funeral Honors may be Full Military Honors, 7 Person Detail or a Standard Honors Team Detail. At least one of the funeral honors detail will be from the Armed Force in which the deceased veteran served.
