Salas Catering

Viviano Salas served his 1st tacos and enchiladas in Lawton in 1957. He operated his restaurant on Cache Road for about a year. Around 1959 he opened up on Sheridan Road and ran a tiny restaurant there for about 8 years. Many Lawton natives still fondly remember lining up for a seat at that location and waving at Salas as they passed through the kitchen to be seated. This place began out with a seating capacity of 40, and grew to about 100 as he added on. Mr. Salas eventually sold this business, bought the property at second and Lee and operated a wholesale and manufacturing business.
