About Us
read moreMission Academy, a residential 12-month program allows men to find the restoration and healing they need to be successful. The program is built on Biblical principles, leading to lasting, transformative change. Our goal is to get men back on their feet permanently. Students of Mission Academy face a variety of challenges: poverty, substance abuse, toxic relationships, and more. Each student entering into Mission Academy spends the first 4 months of the program focusing on wellness. They will visit the doctor & dentist for health evaluations, begin therapy sessions, and adjust to life at The Mission.
San Diego Rescue Mission
read moreSan Diego is the 8th largest city in the United States, but 4th largest for homelessness. It's clear that homelessness is our #1 issue. Each night, there are 10,000 men, women, and children without a place to call home in our city. At the San Diego Rescue Mission, our goal is to get people off the streets permanently. We can't do this without the support of the community. Volunteers, corporations, churches, and private donors make it possible to transform lives of those who are experiencing homeless.
San Diego Rescue Mission
read moreThroughout its history, the San Diego Rescue Mission's programs have adapted to meet the changing needs of the men, women and children experiencing homelessness in our city. The organization's story began in 1954, when a group of San Diego church and business leaders met to address the growing plight of the community's homeless and hungry. Based on this vision, the City Rescue Mission was founded in 1955 and immediately began providing food, clothing and spiritual guidance to the region's homeless.
