Lona was born in Denmark (her hometown, world headquarters of Ecco Shoes) She studied foreign languages which brought her to the US in 1986. By profession she has worked in management in various industries. She worked for a major timeshare exchange firm in Miami FL, for more than six (6) years where she was a senior director in charge of the travel and getaways department. She was a member of ARDA, American Resort and Development Association. In recent years she has worked in multiple consultative roles.
