Our commitment to you is to continue to offer our world class service and a state of the art veterinary facility. Advanced Diagnostic Services
read moreWarwick Animal Hospital was the first veterinary hospital in the Tidewater area to offer digital x-rays. This is a dramatic advancement over traditional film x-ray imaging. Digital x-ray images are processed by sophisticated software to bring out subtle details not visible in x-ray film images. If necessary, these digital images can be instantly transmitted to a board-certified veterinary radiologist for examination and interpretation and STAT results are transmitted back to us within a few minutes.
Services
read moreOur appointment book is computerized, which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us or come in immediately. If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a staff member can advise you on your particular emergency. We have a veterinarian and personnel on duty six days a week who are trained and equipped to handle any urgent care your pet has.
Cat Vaccines
read moreBut my cat is an indoor cat. Why does he/she need a rabies vaccination? A fourteen-year-old girl died in New York from rabies she contracted from their 100% indoor cat. Genetic analysis of the rabies virus determined it originated in a bat. Unfortunately, if a cat's cancer gene is switched on the adjuvant will cause a very aggressive cancer called a sarcoma. And when we say very aggressive, we mean it. One way of measuring the growth rate of cancer is the doubling time, the time it takes for the cancer to double in size or mass.
Laser Surgery
read moreWe are proud to be the first veterinary hospital in the US to offer laser surgery for our patients. Laser surgery results in reduced pain, reduced bleeding, and reduced swelling both during and after your pet's surgery. Your pets are counting on you to learn about laser surgery. Your pet's health is as important to us as it is to you. We are pleased to offer laser surgery as an exciting new option for safe, comfortable treatment. In many procedures the laser can replace the scalpel and provide a better alternative to traditional surgery.

Medicine
read moreRegular comprehensive physical examinations are the single most important contribution to the long and healthy life of your pet. Many serious medical conditions start with minor symptoms. If these problems are found early in the progress of the disease, it is much easier and less costly to manage or treat the disease than if treatment is delayed until symptoms are obvious. There are new drugs and training aids available to help make your pet a happier member of your family. As your pet moves from youth through middle age and into old age, our veterinarians and staff can suggest changes in diet and care that can result in a longer, happier life for your pet.
