St Elijah Orthodox Christian
read moreFounded in 1920 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, we are a vibrant parish dedicated to being a life-giving community of Orthodox Christian faith, worship, love, and service, proclaiming and protecting the Ancient Faith of Jesus Christ. This is reflected in our strong commitment to welcome those who are new to the parish, to engage all members in spiritual growth through faith formation from the youngest to the oldest, and to celebrate our faith together through the Divine Liturgy. Please come worship with us to experience the spirit of St. Elijah, and I invite you to become part of our parish community.
About Us
read moreAnd we believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, and Giver of Life, Who proceedeth from the Father, Who with the Father and the Son together is worshipped and glorified, Who spoke by the Prophets; And we believe in One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. We acknowledge one Baptism for the remission of sins. We look for the Resurrection of the dead, And the Life of the age to come.
Choir
read moreEach year in the month of December we remember our choirs and chanters. This sacred ministry of the Church is essential to the beauty of our divine services. Oftentimes, a person's first experience of our Holy Orthodox Church is witnessing one of our beautiful services. This experience can either be enhanced by a beautiful and well-prepared choir, or diminished by an unprepared one. We are grateful to all of our choir directors, chanters and singers for their dedication, effort and commitment to making the divine services in their respective parishes beautiful to both God and the faithful.
