St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Dartmouth, Massachusetts is under the jurisdiction of the Metropolis of Boston under the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, an eparchy of the Holy Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople. We belong to the Universal Orthodox Church whose founder is Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. It has its ancient beginnings on the day of the Holy Pentecost when the Holy Spirit descended upon the Holy Apostles in Jerusalem, who by their preaching established Christian churches throughout the Holy Land, Asia Minor, Syria, Egypt, Greece, Cyprus.
