In keeping with that "Great Commission", the Congregation of Saint John, a Missionary Baptist Church, is committed to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ, leading souls to salvation, growing in grace through the study of God's Word - The Holy Bible and submission to the guiding influence of the Holy Spirit to love, and care for all people of God's creation.

read moreThe mission of the Saint John Baptist Church Food Pantry Ministry is to serve God by providing emergency food to help feed families in our church and in our local community who are facing financial hardships due to loss of jobs, unexpected expenses, and other financial crises.
Our Purpose
read moreWhat is the purpose of the church? It is suggested that the purpose of the church is to carry out God's Mission by Teaching, Training, and Equipping believers to glorify God through Worship and Service. The Bible provides in Acts 2:42, "They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer." According to this Scripture, the purposes and perhaps activities of the church are to: (1) teach Biblical doctrine, (2) provide a place of fellowship for believers, (3) to observe the Lord's Supper, and (4) to pray.
