Welcome to the website of Saint Michael the Archangel Orthodox Christian Church, Wichita, Kansas. St. Michael's is a newly formed congregation of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America. The Archdiocese is part of the Church of Antioch which was established by the Apostles Peter and Paul. St. Michael's is the 1st Western Rite congregation in Kansas. We're an Orthodox Church, but we don't worship using the Byzantine Rite. Our worship is rooted in the ancient liturgy of the Western Church before the Great Schism which separated the West from the Orthodox Catholic Church of the East.
