State: Senior Health Insurance Benefits

SHIBA is a statewide network of trained volunteers who educate, assist, and serve as advocates for people with Medicare. SHIBA volunteers aid people with Medicare understand their rights and options in health insurance, so that they can create informed choices. This free program is administered by the Department of Consumer & Business Services. State health insurance assistance programs (SHIPs) across the nation form a network that supplies health-benefit education, counseling, and assistance for people with Medicare.
