Sterling Car Care was established on October 30th 1975, from a partnership break up of Fox-DeWitt Enterprise that dated back to Auto repair service centers in the 1960's in Madison Heights and Warren. Gary DeWitt purchased the Shell gasoline station that used to be on the SW corner of 15 mile and Van Dyke, and started doing service work out of the tiny three bay garage. At that time one of the mechanics that worked in that center, was Mike Parrott. He along with two other mechanics, and Gary as the service writer and operator made the finest of the tiny quarters they had and service vehicles.
