Studio West dance instructors must complete a very strict training regimen. They must have extensive experience on the dance floor in addition to possessing the educational techniques necessary to teach the current popular dances. At Studio West we make dancing our business, which means more than knowing a couple of steps (or dance patterns) In order to be certified, an instructor must show proficient experience in being capable to breakdown ALL dances and dance patterns to their basic component parts.

read moreWe opened our business in October 1979, making us the longest running ballroom dance studio in Tucson. We teach ballroom, country, swing, and salsa to singles or couples wanting to dance socially or competitively. The age range of our students varies from 9 to 90 years old!
Lessons
read morePrivate lessons: This is the best way to learn to dance because you learn at your own pace and with personal attention from a dance instructor. An instructor will work with just you or you and your partner. To schedule a private lesson you need to call the studio and make an appointment for your first lesson at 520-747-9464. Private lessons are either 55 minutes long or 27 minutes long, depending on your preference. Group classes: Groups are where several students are learning under the tutorage of one teacher.
