Founded by an English-major-turned-designer, tID gives as much focus to written elements as we do to design or nuts-and-bolts programming. If you see something you'd like to quote or re-print, simply do us the courtesy of asking first.
About Us
read moreGreat design is tricky. It's easy to pick apart decisions after an app ships and second-guess its creators. What's harder - as anyone who has ever created something knows - is being the guy in the room who has to fashion those decisions from whole cloth. Sure, everyone likes to think they have good taste. But the smart ones still hire a designer. If you want to build a ship, don't drum up the men to gather wood, divide the work and give orders. Instead, teach them to yearn for the vast and endless sea.

A major source of first-interaction with the magazine was their "Company Awards", in which community members voted for their favorite local businesses in specific categories. To boost voter "turnout", we created a prominent and easy-to-use (yet unobtrusive!) online voting system for their Company Awards, complete with timed safeguards to prevent "running up the score" by click-happy business owners.
