We're dedicated to delivering Attachment-Based Therapy (ABT) to these kids and their families, which will establish and enhance the emotional security of the parent-child relationship and the family as a complete. ABT focuses on helping attachment-disordered kids experience healthier parent-child interactions, and increase their coping capabilities and resiliency by resolving the negative developmental effects of early trauma, neglect and abuse.

read moreThe curriculum for the "Parent-Child Connections" program addresses the attachment needs of parents and children (0-8 years) and is implemented through the Attachment, Regulation, and Competency (ARC)treatment framework. The format allows for weekly 1.0 - 2 hour sessions for 10-16 weeks. An open ended format is also be implemented if needed. Strengthening and providing corrective experiences in the relationship between parent and child. Playfulness - establishing the caregiver mindset to be flexible, child focused, and playful.
Services
read moreTouchstone Therapy Center is contracted with the Utah Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS) to provide therapy for special needs children in state custody and their adoptive families. These services are paid by Medicaid. Therapy services for families who adopt special needs children through the Utah Division of Child and Family Services are paid with specially allocated Medicaid funding. Additionally, post-adopt funding through DCFS allows us to provide in-home therapeutic services and respite by a qualified therapeutic nanny or mentor.
