read moreMoon Lighting can create a wonderful affect for your backyard pateo, garden or outdoor kitchen. This slide show is a wonderful example of a backyard in Champaign, Illinois. There are features of the landscape that are highlighted with landscape lighting. This home also has a tree in just the right location for me to create a wonderful moon lit setting. With moon lighting the lights should be 20 feet or more up in the tree. They need to be above the branches in order to create a moon lit affect on the ground below.

It will put approximately 22 feet of light on your walkway. I like to highlight your landsape and have the light spill over and light the walk at the same time. I do not want the light to blare out from the light fixture. It instead will put the light down on the ground and not make your sidewalk look like a run way.

read moreGone are the days when your sidewalk lighting looks like an airport runway. Notice in the picture above the Copper Commino path light from Touchstone. This walkway light puts light on the landscaping and spills over on to the walkway at the same time. The Touchstone Commino light will put approximately a 22 foot spread of light on the ground. The light comes in copper, copper nickel plated and rusty steel. The smaller coppertino light puts a 18 foot spread of light on the ground. The copperino comes in the same finishes as the Commino and also a desert sand and red rock finish.
