The university opened its doors to 80 students four years later, and for 23 years it was Mississippi's only public institution of higher learning. Parking and Transportation
read moreTo ensure your time on campus is as pleasant as possible, read about required parking passes and designated lots for visitors, students, faculty and staff. If your permit never arrived by mail, has been lost or damaged, or you have a completely new vehicle other than the one you initially registered your parking permit for, you must get a replacement parking permit. Once completely filled out, please email the form to firstname.lastname@example.org. We will prepare your replacement permit and have it ready for pick up when you arrive at our office.

Instructors can also take advantage of the Blackboard Instructor App. As many faculty (not only at UM, but across the country) plan to lead classes on the Zoom video conferencing platform, the UM Office of Information Technology encourages faculty to prepare to fall back to one or more alternative instructional delivery techniques in the event that the university experiences issues with Zoom.
