Upfront Gallery-Contemporary Art

Upfront Gallery, the City of Ventura's 1st contemporary art gallery, was established in 2004 under the direction of Carolyn Friend. Initially founded to support and nurture a growing need for the presence of contemporary art and to promote its appreciation and intrinsic value to the community, Upfront Gallery has since evolved into the role of contemporary arts leader in Ventura, and has gained a strong reputation of exhibiting quality fine art in an attractive, alternative, industrial space.
