Vanguard School, established in 1973, is a private, independent, coeducational, college preparatory day school for students in grades 7-12. Current enrollment is 155. Qualified students are admitted regardless of race, religion, or ethnic origin. The campus consists of 8. 5 acres and the School is housed in several buildings including a science lab/classroom building completed in 1984, a gymnasium completed in 1980 and enlarged as a multi-purpose facility in 1992 and renovated in 2006, an arts center completed in 1987 that was remodeled in 2005 to include the administrative offices, and a new visual arts building.
