Westlake Community Baptist

In September 1950, the Rev. Roy Milam, then an associate pastor of the First Baptist Church of San Francisco, came to the Westlake area to survey the residents of the community in order to determine the viability of beginning a new church there. The building of homes by Henry Doelger in Westlake was well underway by this time. Finding interest among the residents in a new church start, a 1st worship service was held in one of the homes on Cliffside Drive. There were 17 persons in attendance.
