The mission of Westmont College is to supply a best quality undergraduate liberal arts program in a domestic campus community that helps college women and men toward a balance of rigorous intellectual competence, healthy individual development, and strong Christian commitments. Average high school academic GPA of 3. 70 (unweighted) average combined SAT score of 1200 (critical reading and math sections only) and average ACT score of 26. At least 47% graduated in the top 10th of their class, and 72% in the upper 5th.

Westmont conducts a comprehensive orientation program for all new students before classes begin. All new students (including transfers) must attend the four-day fall orientation program. At Westmont we desire to establish first-year students on a strong academic footing and to assist them in developing sound relationships with faculty and peers.
