Set up in 2000, WildChild Gallery is a Contemporary Art gallery representing the works of owner Peggy McTeague and over 120 Florida Artists. The Gallery build is a Historic fishing cottage situated in the middle of Matlacha ( pronounced Matt-la-shay) a Caloosa word meaning water to the chin. The vision of WildChild was to have a place where people could come enjoy an exceptional experience of art in all its forms. To be capable to Learn about and purchase art created by Local, National and International Artists. Normally there is a gap between artist and art buyer.

read moreAt WildChild, we are making major efforts on the Gallery's part to be stewards of our earth. Some of the areas we are working on are using less paper and plastics, and conserving our water. Although WildChild is usually closed on Sundays, we are planning to be OPEN on select Sundays before and after some major Holidays this season.
