Woodlake started its journey in 1978. It was a church plant done in partnership with the Dallas Baptist Association, the Denton Baptist Association and Royal Haven Baptist Church in Dallas. It was the beginning of the domestic boom days in Carrollton and the church got off to a great start. Dr. Jimmy McLeod was the founding pastor followed by Dr. Harry Lewis. Rev. Ed Ethridge was pastor throughout the 1990's until 2002. The church during this time became, and remains, debt-free.

read moreBeginning in 1978, Woodlake has been shining the Light of Jesus Christ among the residents of north Carrollton, Texas and beyond. We are a church that believes the Bible to be the inspired Word of God. The Bible is our highest and final authority. It is our desire to submit all of our attitudes and actions to the Truth found within its pages. At Woodlake, we desire to be on mission with God by taking the Good News of Jesus Christ to all people (here in Carrollton and around the world.) We have sent church members and friends to Africa, Canada, China, Mexico and places in between.
