The Long Island Center for Yoga (The Yoga Center) is a yoga studio situated in the S shore of Long Island in the Village of Babylon. The Yoga Center is now entering into our fifth year of bringing peace and serenity to the busy lives of Long Islanders. Upon opening in September, 2003, Jackie Morrison, an owner and chief instructor at the studio, envisioned creating a place of healing within and for the surrounding communities. The Yoga Center is now recognized as a place to leave all your worries outside the door and return home to yourself by connecting body and breath through movement, arriving into the meditation of yoga.

Having completed my yoga teacher training in August of 1999 at the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health, I could not have imagined the depth of what it would mean, or turn into for the next two decades.
