On September 30, 1990, several Christian families who were living and meeting together in Beaumont celebrated the establishing of the 1st local church meeting in that city. Ever since that time, we currently have met together as the church in Beaumont. For the 1st six years, we met in our own homes.

The Borden Chapel Missionary Baptist Church was organized on August 6, 1946 under the leadership of Rev. J. W. Brent. Reverend Brent and a little faithful band committed themselves to the task of founding a place of worship. Others taking an active part in organizing the church were the late Dr. E. H.
