read moreThe center was founded in 2003 in the North Oakland neighborhood of Temescal. Temescal is centrally located and adjacent to Rockridge, Piedmont, and downtown Oakland. It is home to a diverse, eclectic community and after living in the neighborhood for 18 years, I felt it would be the perfect place for an acupuncture clinic. Our clinic has 4 licensed acupuncturists, massage therapist, nutritionist, and homeopath. We also have a fully stocked herbal pharmacy. Historically a temescal was a Native American sweat lodge used for healing.
