City Tavern

Situated in Kansas City's historic Freight House, City Tavern combines the past of the pioneer crossroads with the future of a modern metropolis. Once used to off-load freight from boxcars to horse-drawn wagons, people gathered daily at the Freight House to pick up their cargo loads for delivery to nearby warehouses. These determined individuals, with their hopes and dreams fueling them, laid the foundation to what is now known as Kansas City. Today, it's exposed brick walls, heavy timber ceiling, hardwood floors and terra cotta tile serve as reminders to City Tavern patrons of a time and place in history.
