Phaedra received her Masters of Music in Music Theory from the University of Missouri - Kansas City, Conservatory of Music. While there, Phaedra was awarded a grant from the UMKC Women's Council and the Shirley A. Bean Scholarship. Phaedra's research for her thesis included additional studies in Dalcroze Eurhythmics and Brain Gym. Her thesis, Music Theory Pedagogy: Melding Dalcroze Eurthythmics with Brain Gym, is about the various ways students learn and the methods used to teach.
