read moreSome of you were only at Let's Dance for a very short time, a few of you from the month we opened in 1988 to when Terryl and I moved to Texas in 2017. Some of you found the love of your life, some of you "thought" you did. A few of you 'ahem', fell in love quite often. Others discovered a talent they didn't know they had, and some tell me LDLA changed their life. Unlike our Facebook page which allows for one to one messaging, our goal here is to help some of you reconnect with lost friends and create a repository of pictures and memories that you can add to.

It is the story of how a family came together and why it was so special. Although there are some fantastic and funny stories of things that happened in the stories page, this is more just a recounting of why it was different. So enjoy and remember it was always about family.- I had never planned to be a dancer, in fact my initial dream was to be an Air Force pilot, until my sister knocked some sense into me with a golf club swing which caused the vision in one eye to drop below the required 20/20.

We're talking 20+ years of great stories and fun, because as long as the Enio, Terryl, & Robert were involved, it was going to be a great ride. This is not the history of how or why the studio started, it's probably the reason though, why it lasted 23 years and why people still remember it so fondly. We have many but try to top this one. Robert had just returned from England with his new partner (the future British Champion and winner of England's Dancing With the Stars) Miss Karen Hardy.

read moreI'm sorry but here is one place I have to brag. Outsiders don't understand how special the teachers at Let's Dance L.A. and the Granada really were. At many studios the teachers are just out of training school - one page ahead of the student. At Let's Dance on our regular staff we were blessed with World Champions, US Champions, future Hall of Famers, Hollywood Choreographers, National Champions of other countries, professional ballerinas, and true dance Masters. And how did we keep ourselves sharp?
