We, as a Church Family, are working to navigate our current circumstance as it unfolds. Plans and announcements will be posted here, our Facebook page, as well as by email, phone calls, and text messages. There is no need for panic, but for caution, prayer, and Faith. We continue in the Lord's Work, Word, and Way as we seek to convey the age-old principles of compassion, education, diligence, fellowship, and peace.

read moreIn an effort whose success was later heralded in the press, funds to erect the original edifice were raised by staging plays and revues in a decorated barn. James Nevins, a Brooklyn realtor, donated the plot of land where the church now stands. Minister William Hendrickson was its first supply pastor and two years later in July 1909, the Rev. Frank Lee was installed as our first permanent pastor. We have been well-served by leadership who dedicated their lives to serving Christ through their ministry at the PCSA.
read moreDeacons assist the Elders in administering Communion during church services. In addition, Deacons provide Communion in the homes, or at the beside, of sick & shut-in church members. For Mother's Day and Father's Day, the Deacons distribute gifts to parents, widows, widowers, convalescing members, and friends of the church. Theatre of the Living Word proudly celebrates over three decades of bringing the excitement of live performance to local audiences. TLW also collaborates with other companies to go "beyond the walls, " and reach wider audiences.
read moreWe see terrorism in one form or another in every nation upon the earth. We see racism, poverty, exploitation and economic inequality. We see deep valleys of social, political, and religious differences, we see mountains of hatred and prejudice, divided classes, races and nations. Brothers fighting against brothers and children fighting against parents; community strife; racial profiling; and conflicts in, too, many nations. If we allowed what we see on the surface to influence us we would be most miserable, pessimistic and fearful.
