New Direction Community Church began out as True Worshiper of God Missionary Baptist Church and was organized in 1971 in the home of Rev. Richard A. Bell and Mrs. Vera Bell. Under the leadership of Pastor Richard A. Bell the church grew tremendously. Many families became members and because of this constant growth the church found itself searching for a place to worship. Members enabled us to use their homes and office buildings to worship until 1975 we purchased our church building at 13417 S. Budlong Ave. Gardena, CA.

Our services begin with upbeat music and is followed by a relevant message by Pastor Ronderick. Our Services only last about an hour. We'll even give you a handy outline with the Bible passages, so you will go home encouraged and equipped each week!
read moreAt the beginning of the service, Pastor Henry or an Associate Minister will briefly explain the meaning of baptism. You will wait in the water for your turn to be baptized. The Pastor will introduce you. All you have to say is, "My name is ---- and I am a follower of Jesus Christ." Then the Pastor will briefly lower you just under the water, and then you can leave the water, dry off, and watch the others. Later you will receive your baptism certificate. We encourage you to invite all your relatives and friends to attend your baptism.
