The San Jos? Public Library Foundation was set up in 1987 by a group of dedicated community volunteers who understood that a great LibrarySystem needed more than public funding. The Foundation continues its dedication to raise private funds to complement the City's annual allocation to the San Jos? Public Library system. This community support has enabled new ideas, new initiatives, and new resources for the San Jos? Public Library. The Foundation is housed in the new Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Public Library at the intersection of San Fernando and Fourth Streets.
