Welcome to St. Pius X Church's web page. You will certainly find the usual information here about Mass times, Church programs, the parish team, and the different organizations in the parish. Technology is great for getting the word out, making it easier to get registration forms, and even getting a sense of what a parish is about. However, you'll not find our faith lived out in Jesus Christ on this site. You'll need to come and live it out with us as a community dedicated to the journey of entering into the Lord's dying and rising. We aren't prefect.

In living the Good News, centered in the Eucharist, we bring Christ to others so all may live in freedom and grace. St. Pius X Church was established in March 1959 as a mission of a fairly young Parish - Our Lady of Fatima Church est. 1949. With the growth of the city of Lafayette came the need for growth in church parishes. Our Lady of Fatima Church was carved out of the Cathedral of St. John est.
Youth Ministry
read moreWe have youth ministry designed for two formative age groups-middle school (6th-8th) and high school (9th-12th). The primary goal of our programming is to meet middle schoolers and teens where they are at, drawing them into a deeper understanding of faith. Our emphasis is on a relationship with Jesus within the sacramental Church. We challenge our young people starting in middle school and throughout high school through the process of growing from an encounter with Jesus to becoming His disciples, all the while changing their world.
