St Stephens Episcopal Church
read moreChase the Chill is an organization of volunteer makers in Lynn who collect, knit or sew hats, mittens, blankets and scarves to give to those who need warm items, many of whom are homeless. For about five years, they have organized "scarf bombing" events to allow the warm donated items to get into the hands of those who need them. To see a video of past events you can follow this link. This year, they are distributing items through local service organizations. Please join Heather Collis Puro and Father Greg at St. Stephen's virtual "Sit and Knit" on Tuesday, February 2 at 4:00 pm via Zoom.
About Us
read moreSt. Stephen's welcomes all people as beloved children of God. As Christians, we root ourselves in the Bible and grow in faith through community. At St. Stephen's, all are invited to the Table to recieve the bread and wine of Holy Communion. And we enjoy gathering for food and fellowship throughout the week. From our Fair to the Soul Food Dinner to Mardi Gras to Community Cookouts, we work and play together.

We worship in the Anglican tradition emphasizing both the Word of God and the Sacrament of Holy Eucharist. We use the Episcopal Book of Common Prayer and liturgies from other parts of the Anglican Communion. We welcome innovations in worship through use of contemporary music, sermon conversations, and active participation of young people. The Kenyan Congregation uses the Anglican Church of Kenyan's order of worship and is known for its lively music and warm hospitality.
