Churches in Roseville, CA
Welcome to Westside Christian Church! We're so pleased to have you visit our web page and learn a little bit about who we're and what we're about. At Westside, we're dedicated to keeping the main thing, the main thing. That means that we exist to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ and to serve Him and others as we grow together in His truth and grace. It means that people - especially you - are important to us because it is for people that God sent His Son.
Missions and Outreach
read moreWestside Christian Church is committed to reaching our community and the world with the message of God's redemption through the proclamation (word) of the Good News of Jesus Christ and the tangible provision (works) of those that have need. Because of that passion, Westside is committed to partner with, through regular support (financially, as well as personally), of local and global ministries that have that same passion. The following are ministries that we are privileged to support and serve with both locally and across the globe.

To disciple every man into a dynamic, world-changing disciple of Christ by empowering him to become God's intimate ally and freeing him to be the leader God created him to be in his home, his work, his church, and the world. This is not accomplished overnight and it is through much prayer, honest conversation, tough choices and the passionate pursuit of men's hearts that we see God move in a mighty way and men are changed.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, fully God and fully man, that He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, provided the redemption for our sins through His sacrificial death on the Cross, was raised bodily from the grave after three days, ascended back to the right hand of the Father in heaven where He ever lives to make intercession for us until He comes again for those who believe in Him and to judge the earth.

We are committed to expository teaching (allowing the Scripture to speak for itself) that is evangelical, doctrinal and practical. We desire to acknowledge God's supreme value and worth through worship by thoughtful words, private and corporate prayer, and music that exalts and ascribes praise to Him and Him alone. We seek the integration of every member of the church into a community where relationships are developed, biblical understanding is encouraged and service to others is practiced as the normative outworking of our faith.

This means that we should live our lives in a manner worthy of our calling, with intention and perseverance, and that there is no time like the present to get started. Often youth watch church happen from the sidelines, but we desire our students to engage their culture as a vibrant part of the larger church body, and our ministry is dedicated to walking with each one as they prepare to use their gifts for God's kingdom. We strive to create an environment that continually challenges and promotes the spiritual growth of our community.

As part of the the larger Church belonging to Jesus Christ we gather to sing praises to God every Sunday and on the first Friday of every month. We believe that we are created for relationship with God. Worship on Sunday morning at Westside is an opportunity for our church and visitors to engage in that relationship through song, the taking of communion together, and the teaching of the living Word of God. First Friday is a more intimate time devoted specifically to song and prayer.
