Sterling Everett, a native of Sandersville, Georgia, studied art under Ezra Sellers at Young Harris College in Georgia. He received a B. B. A. In Art from Georgia College in Milledgeville, Georgia. Beginning his career in Macon, Georgia, Everett's style and versatility have earned him national recognition.

After graduation, she was to attend Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. An unfounded lack of confidence prevented further studies in art. She started to work in dentistry and was a major influence in her husband's decision to enter the profession. The commitments of marriage and raising
