Over sixty years ago, two young men started farming in the fertile Pajaro Valley near the town of Watsonville, California. Direct distribution of their crops to local grocers became the launch of a wholesale produce firm that was successful around the Monterey Bay for over thirty five years. The sale of Coast Produce in 1974 was the beginning of a new Watsonville Coast Produce. While we still consider ourselves a local wholesaler around the Monterey Bay area, we now dispatch over twenty five trucks daily throughout 11 counties in Central and Northern California.

read moreWith a family history of agriculture and produce growing, it was a natural progression for him to take on the wholesale produce business in 1974. Since the acquisition, he and his partners have grown the business from a 7 man show to a 100+ employee business. He's known for his loyalty to his family and his staff, alike, which is a huge contributor to the longevity of his personnel. After many years of dreaming, several years of planning and a year of construction, we occupied our facility in March of 1999.

In addition to our complete line of fresh organic produce, we also stock "organic" stickers, twist-ties and other related supplies for your convenience.
